


What you'll need :
- For the crumble
- 3-4tbl sp flour
- half a cup sugar
- 2-3tbl sp butter
- 1tsp cinnamon
- For the filling:
- 2 -3 big apples ( peeled and cut into small chunks)
- 2-3 tbl sp sugar
- 1tbl sp water
- 1tbl sp butter
- Now on to the making:
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Place the flour,cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl and mix well. Taking a few cubes of butter at a time rub into the flour mixture. Keep rubbing until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. ( You can also do this with two knifes, but for me, doing it with fingers is much faster)
- Place the apples in a small pot. Add the butter, water and sugar. "Boil" this mixture until the fruit is soft.
- Pour the fruit in to a baking pan and add the crumbles on top. ( I add a dash of bread crumbs also. Just so the crumble would look crunchy and brown on top)
- Bake the crumble for about an hour.
- Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
